This blog is being written solely for the purpose of tracking my study abroad experience in Angers, France, at least at first. Ironically enough, said experience has not even started yet--and is not due to start until the end of next month. Until then, I am slumming at my parents' house while the rest of my college friends are due to return to school soon. At the moment, I will not promise to update daily, like I know some people do. I know myself, and I know that I would probably forget to post more often than not. I won't even promise once a month--I'll just vow to update when I update. You'll have to be satisfied with that!
So for my first post, I decided to post a list of 10 things about me.
1.) I am a French major at Grand Valley State University.
2.) I have a twin sister, Jessica; when I am in France, she will be studying in England--our first real separation (it's got to happen sometime!)
3.) I don't watch a lot of TV, but I watch several shows faithfully: Supernatural, Heroes, Top Chef and Psych.
4.) My favorite books to read are Jane Austen books, the Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia and many other older classics of all genres. My favorite way to read said books is when hanging upside-down.
5.) I have never had a real nickname until recently, when my friend Sarah started calling me "Jenn-san". It has two meanings which I choose to keep mysteries. :)
6.) I have Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord of my life.
7.) I am a complete klutz; once, I even fell while standing still, for no reason whatsoever.
8.) I have two types of laughs, both of which sound like an animal and both of which make other people laugh. My first laugh sounds like a donkey bray, and my second laugh like a mouse squeak.
9.) I have several favorite movies, including the A&E Pride and Prejudice and Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
10.) As far as my niece is concerned, my sister and I have the same name--Jess. Only after I tell her that I am not Jess will she call me Jennifer.
So anyway, that's me. The next post will probably be more in-tune with the true nature of this blog, but until then...au revoir!
